Historical background
The 2008–09 season brought the twentieth anniversary of the title decided at Anfield in 1989. Nike marked it with a yellow and blue away shirt rather than a straight reproduction of the original.
Design story
A yellow body and sleeves with navy trim and a narrow red stripe running down the front. The coloured crest sits above the Fly Emirates sponsor, with the Nike mark opposite.
