Historical background

Munitions workers at the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich formed Dial Square in 1886. The club's origin story holds that former Nottingham Forest players supplied a set of redcurrant shirts — the reason Arsenal play in red to this day.

Design story

A heavy cotton pullover in deep wine-red, collared and buttoned at the placket. Functional workwear as much as sportswear.
